8-11-2007 It's nearly the middle of August. It won't be long before the kids are back in school. Dreadful. Dreadful for many teachers that have to deal with them and their parents. It is not like it was. Kids today have ATTITUDE. Sure not all of them of enough of them to make the life of teacher pure hell. Many (maybe most) teachers love teaching or they would if kid weren't involved. It is even worse when KIDS with ATTITUDE have parents WITH ATTITUDE. I wonder if the parents of kids that actually want to learn have thought of ways to deal with kids and their parents that have ATTITUDES that keep others from learning to the level they could. New Jersey (and certainly not South Jersey) kids and schools are not unique. Why on earth would anyone want to become a teacher today. Most teachers that start do not make it a career. Most that have a couple decades in teaching would not choose it again. Then there is the required but unfunded Federal program "No child left behind". A product of that educational genius George W. Bush. One more disaster in a long line of disasters. |
